Forest Walks

Forest Walks

The best way to truly take-in the atmosphere of the region and its biotypes is on foot. One can encounter all of the big game species in the area and also have a better chance of finding the smaller or more inconspicuous forest animals, primates, birds, reptiles, etc. Walks can range from a few hours to a few days. Fullday walks can include a picnic and siesta, which is a great way to enjoy more of the sounds and smells. Note that the African rainforest in not a Disney movie where every tree is a cacophony of sound and wild animals. The truth is the forest is mostly silent as creatures quietly get on with survival, finding them takes some stealthy hunting but the excitement is that at any moment, anything is possible!
